Sleep last night was pretty much non-existant. It had nothing to do with pain or gout, however. Instead, it all had to do with me turning the heat up in the bedroom a bit too high making for very uncomfortable sleeping conditions for me. I'm going to blame it on the crazy spring weather we've been having here in Bavaria. Last week it was sunny and we even hit 80 degrees one day. This week? Cold, wet, blustry and grey. It's made it difficult to regulate a comfortable living environment in the house! So, because of the overly warm conditions while sleeping, I found myself awake at 3am, tossing and turning and just unable to get comfortable. When this happens, I find it's usually just better to get out of bed and go do something else. This morning, I began working on my new photography website and actually got quite a bit done.
Anyway, enough about that. I'm sure the lack of sleep will hit me later and a nap will definitely be in my future plans. As far as the gout and the other pains, I really can't complain too much. Things continue to slowly improve on the gout front. My ankles are still a bit sore and my knees are suffering some gouty twinges, but I am feeling a lot better than I have been. I'll just continue to take it easy and try to stress my joints as little as possible.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. It does look like some sun may be breaking through the blanket of grey finally. Perhaps some driving around and taking some pictures may be in order later today. Don't worry - I'm talking nothing more than stepping out of the car to take some landscape pictures. No hiking or walking will be involved!
